Musical Influences

I grew up with big Rock influences like Guns N’ Roses and Meatloaf. I also liked Michael Jackson, bands like Queen, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi and dabbled with lots of others random genres from rap to folk music.

In the early 90’s is when my music taste turned more towards grunge, metal and rap. I listened to lots of music including bands such as Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Sepultura, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, Insane Clown Posse, Nirvana, Metallica, Cold, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Kid Rock, Coal Chamber, Incubus, Orgy, One Minute Silence, Stuck Mojo, The Cure, Helmet and so many others. I used to paint while listening and singing along with music for hours and hours. I loved it and i still love it!

At present i still listen to so much music it would be impossible to name them all. Currently i am still playing The Cure, Spiritbox, Textures, Black Nazareth, Tesseract, Carpenter Brut and many others. So you can see how varied my taste is. Even though i have a spooky goth side to me i also have a love for rap, hip-hop, rock, prog rock, industrial metal, prog metal, nu metal, and probably a lot more!

I think it is important to keep an open mind when it comes to music as you might find new things that you like. I couldn’t be the type of person that just listened to goth rock or rap or pop all the time. Variation is what keeps life interesting and fresh. It is also good for when it comes to making music as you won’t just sound like one genre.
